FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Sedation in dentistry refers to the use of medications or techniques to help patients relax and feel more comfortable during dental procedures. It is commonly used in situations where patients experience anxiety, fear, or have difficulty sitting still for extended periods in the dental chair. The choice of sedation method depends on the patient’s medical history, the complexity of the dental procedure, and their level of anxiety. Dentists and dental anesthesiologists are trained to administer and monitor sedation safely to ensure the patient’s comfort and safety during dental treatment.
Texas dentists who require sedation CDE to renew their sedation endorsement. Dentists may also complete any of our CDE offerings to fulfil their yearly CDE requirements.
We are a registered AGD PACE provider. If your state dental board accepts CDE from an approved PACE provider, you will receive credit.
Our in person and online sedation renewal course cover Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. During the in person course, you will be able to demonstrate and complete the manual skills portion of BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
