Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, in many U.S. states, licensed dental hygienists can administer local anesthesia after completing approved training and certification, but rules vary by state.

Texas dentists who require sedation CDE to renew their sedation endorsement. Dentists may also complete any of our CDE offerings to fulfil their yearly CDE requirements.

We are a registered AGD PACE provider. If your state dental board accepts CDE from an approved PACE provider, you will receive credit.

Our in person and online sedation renewal course cover Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3. During the in person course, you will be able to demonstrate and complete the manual skills portion of BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

On-demand webinars usually do not count as live CE for dental hygienists, as most boards require real-time interaction. Check your state board’s guidelines for specific CE credit rules.

The “rule of 25” in local anesthesia refers to limiting the maximum dose of a 2% lidocaine solution with epinephrine to approximately 2.5 cartridges for a child weighing 25 kg, ensuring safe dosage levels.
